Upon obtaining her CA designation and completing a specialization in tax, Marilyn had her own accounting practice specializing in owner managed businesses.  She also worked in the tax group of Ernst & Young, and later joined Empire Life as their tax & estate planning specialist for Western Canada. She co-founded Obsidian Advisory Group in Vancouver to take an integrated personalized approach to financial planning for the owner manager, health professionals and their families, as well as high net worth individuals.  Marilyn is a well-regarded public speaker and author.  She is a member of CALU and a member of Advocis Vancouver chapter.
