CHS - Certified Health Insurance Specialist

The CHS course is offered in computer-based test format

Students require Internet access and an e-mail address to take this format.*

Course material
All course material is in paper-based format.

Logon instructions

  • Students will be e-mailed logon instructions soon after registration.
  • This e-mail will also contain their username, password, and expiry date.

Deadlines

  • Students have four months from their registration date to complete all module tests and the final exam.
  • Student deadline dates will be e-mailed with their logon instructions.

Module tests

  • Students must complete module tests online via computer. There are no assignments to hand in.
  • Each test MUST be completed in order.
  • The module tests are worth 40% overall.
  • Students do not need to pass each module test in order to pass the course.
  • All questions are multiple choice.
  • All modules are weighted equally

Exams

  • All exams can be written online via computer.
  • Students may access their exam online any time within their four month period, provided that all module tests have been completed.
  • The final exam is worth 60% overall.
  • All questions are multiple choice.

Final grade
The final grade for the course is based on four module tests and one final exam. The module tests are worth 40% and the final exam is worth 60% of the final course mark. Students need to achieve a minimum of 60% overall to pass this course.
