Advocis in partnership with Foran Financial Institute offers the new LLQP self-study program – the most comprehensive program in the marketplace today.

What is the LLQP?

LLQP is an entry-level proficiency standard for new life agents and a one-step system of licensing, the program is designed to raise the educational standards and skill level for agents entering the profession.

  • LLQP is a practical course based on the real life experience of life insurance practitioners. Agents taking the LLQP option will be knowledgeable in the products and services relevant to the current marketplace.

  • LLQP is a self-study program designed as a common standard in all provinces, except Quebec. LLQP will make it easier for agents who work in more than one province, and need non-resident licences.

For those entering the industry through the insurance sector, LLQP is your first step towards the coveted CFP® and CLU® designations.

Advocis offers the following versions of the LLQP:

1. LLQP (full version)
The full LLQP is anticipated to require 120 hours of study. Upon successful completion of the full licensing program and certification exam, students may write the corresponding provincial LLQP exam to obtain their life license. The passing mark for Advocis' full version LLQP is set at 60% and the four-hour exam consists of 140 multiple-choice questions that closely mirror the final regulatory exam(s).

2. LLQP Accident & Sickness
This version of the LLQP program is available to individuals who are seeking a career in the life insurance industry as agents selling accident and sickness insurance. The A&S LLQP is a course developed based on a comprehensive curriculum set by the provincial regulators.

Upon passing the A&S LLQP certification exam students are eligible to write the provincial A&S LLQP exam.

The content is based on the curriculum established by the Canadian Council of Insurance Regulators (CCIR)

Optional learning toolsAdvocis offers optional learning tools to assist you in completing the LLQP.
