Advocis offers a full range of education programs that have been designed to guide you as you move through your career.

Licensing & Designation programs

If you are new to the industry and registering in our LLQP program, you will be pleased to know that our academic program is the industry leader.

If you are working towards a designation, you can be confident in the currency and relevancy of our CFP® and CLU® programs. Advocis, in partnership with CCH Canadian, has prepared our students well for the final CFP® exam offered through FPSC. Our students, writing for the first time, rank above the national average.

Since its launch in 2003, enrolment in our new CLU program has doubled. Students see the value in a solid education that supports them as estate planning advisors.

Other programs

Best Practices Sessions – local half-hour sessions designed to support advisors in the application of best practices principles.

Group Benefits Certificate – the new edition of “Group Benefits” is available. New to this edition is the opportunity to register in a short certificate program wrapped around the new content.

Introduction to Segregated Funds – this program examines the unique features of segregated funds in terms of financial planning. The course content focuses on the elements of segregated fund policies that separate them from other types of life insurance products, particularly their investment features, and situates them in the broader context of overall financial planning as a whole.

Financial Services Practitioner (FPS) Program
Advocis is a founding partner of the FPS offered by the Seneca College Centre for Financial Services.
The program is designed to prepare students to be professionals in the area of sales and marketing in the financial services industry. They will have core competencies in developing comprehensive financial plans to meet the needs of individuals, families and businesses. Graduates of this program have completed the requirements to obtain their life insurance license and mutual fund licence.
