Caron Czorny stays on as chair for
The Institute for Advanced Financial Education
Toronto – At the November 21 annual general meeting for The Institute for Advanced Financial Education (The Institute), the board of trustees for the 2012 term was appointed and Caron Czorny, FLMI, ACS, CFP, CLU, CH.F.C, EPC, CHS was once again elected chair of the board by the membership.
"The lnstitute is completing a very important transition, and I am thrilled to be able to see it through as chair," said Ms. Czorny. "The Institute continues to improve its offerings, and in my opinion, is more relevant than it has ever been. My board colleagues and I are honoured to have the privilege to guide The Institute during this most exciting time."
Caron, who is fluently bilingual, has been a member of the Board of Trustees of The Institute (formerly The CLU Institute) for five years and has been a member of The Institute for 24 years. Prior to her appointment as Institute Chair, Caron served as Marketing Chair, Treasurer and on The Institute Executive Committee. While Caron has been an active volunteer in the industry in many capacities over the years, she has also been involved in municipal politics, having served as Councillor for District 5 of Wentworth-Nord, Quebec, from 2005 to 2009.

The Institute for Advanced Financial Education is the professional standards body for financial practitioners holding the CLU, CHS and CH.F.C. designations in Canada. The Institute is responsible for administering the Code of Professional Conduct for its designation holders. The Institute offers continuing education providers accreditation services to ensure their learning programs meet a clear standard of educational quality and relevance.
