(Toronto, ON – July 23, 2025) – Advocis, The Financial Advisors Association of Canada, is proud to announce the launch of its Emerging Leaders Committee. This committee is a national initiative that brings together a dynamic group of early- and mid-career financial advisors to help shape the future of the association, in conjunction with many of the other important member-led initiatives at Advocis, and the profession at large.
Formed as part of Advocis’ broader strategic commitment to fostering long-term member engagement and generational continuity, the Emerging Leaders Committee will serve as a critical advisory group. The committee is tasked with providing fresh perspectives, identifying challenges and opportunities facing new professionals, and co-creating solutions that support Advocis’ mission of elevating the financial advice profession in Canada.
“This committee was created to ensure the next generation of financial advisors have a voice in shaping the future of our association,” said Kelly Gorman, President and CEO of Advocis. “These individuals bring fresh perspectives, energy, and valuable experience that will help guide Advocis forward as we continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of our members.”
The inaugural 2025 Emerging Leaders Committee includes representatives from across the country:
- Cory Gergulich, PFP – Manitoba
- Naunidh (Nona) Hunjan, CLU®, CHS™ – Ontario
- Cindy Marques, CFP® – Ontario
- Amanda McCloy, CFP®, CLU®, TEP – Alberta
- Laurent Munier, PFA™ – British Columbia
- Natasha Thompson, PFA™, EPC, CPCA – New Brunswick
Throughout the year, the Emerging Leaders Committee will collaborate closely with Advocis leadership and the TFAAC Board of Directors, helping to shape new initiatives and strengthen Advocis’ commitment to being a member-driven, future-focused organization.
“Bringing younger voices to the table is essential for any organization looking to stay relevant and responsive,” said Kelly Gorman. “This committee not only reflects the future of our industry, but will also help ensure Advocis remains a place where all advisors feel heard and supported, regardless of where they are in their career”
Through initiatives like this, Advocis continues to prioritize a future-focused, member-driven approach—one that empowers the next generation of financial advisors to grow, lead, and thrive in a rapidly changing industry.
