Advocis’ ‘Financial Advice for All’ campaign wins Bronze at FCS Portfolio Awards for Corporate Imagery

Advocis wins Bronze at FCS Awards

May 9, 2023, Toronto – Advocis, The Financial Advisors Association of Canada, is proud to announce that its Financial Literacy campaign, “Financial Advice for All” has won the Bronze award at the Financial Communications Society (FCS) Portfolio Awards. The FCS recognizes outstanding marketing and communications campaigns in financial services across North America.

Finalists were chosen by a judging panel of 40 senior marketing and creative executives from financial services firms and agencies, who reviewed a total of over 500 entries, and narrowed that list to 81 winners that were showcased for their marketing and communications excellence in financial services.

Advocis was a finalist in the category of Corporate Imagery > Website, which recognizes a campaign that aims to support a specific communications campaign, build awareness and change the perception of an entire company, as opposed to marketing a particular product or service.

“It is truly an honor to be recognized for award-winning work among a field of so many talented and creative organizations and peers,” said Jacquie Kilislian, Director, Marketing & Communications, Advocis. “This was our first submission of our Financial Advice for All campaign to any award show, so to be recognized with bronze honours is a true testament to the amazing work of our members, employees and financial literacy partners.”

In 2022, Advocis embarked on its latest campaign to leverage the expertise of our members for the benefit of the public through our consumer-facing financial literacy website, Financial Advice For All. This was strategically timed to leverage Financial Literacy Month, which takes place annually in November across Canada. Advocis developed many engaging tactics for the month, including, multiple editions of a ‘Fin Lit Activity Book’ for both young children and teenagers, live events (hosting our very first Twitter Chat), multiple Instagram Live broadcasts for our followers, original articles on top-of-mind personal financial literacy subjects written by Advocis members, and a relaunched our FinLit Quiz Game on the Roblox platform. Advocis also held a poll of more than 200 member advisors to better understand the top financial concerns of Canadians. Advocis members were able to share the results via their social media channels through sharable infographics that were created for the month of November.

“There are so many dedicated Members of Advocis who work tirelessly to improve the financial well-being of Canadians. Through accepting this award on Thursday evening, Advocis is paying tribute to all the contributions of our members who’ve helped to shape this financial literacy campaign and our initiatives over the years. Through consultation sessions, our members are eager to again support Financial Literacy Month this coming November and all year round,” Kilislian added.
