Fall Breakfast Event

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED, SEATING IS LIMITED
ATTENDING THIS EVENT WILL GIVE YOU A 5% DISCOUNT ON E&O PURCHASED THROUGH ADVOICS BROKER SERVICES
ETHICS CREDITS ALSO AVAILABLE FOR SESSIONS

CYBER & PRIVACY LIABILITY Description: Are you familiar with PIPEDA., CASL., and CRM-2.? As a practicing advisor if you are not familiar with them, you are at significant risk of running afoul of federal and provincial legislation that governs how a business may communicate with prior, current, and prospective clients. Advisors collect huge amounts of personal information about their clients and are directly responsible for the protection of that information. This seminar focuses on key regulatory and legislative requirements relating to the collection and storage of personal information, what the rules and laws are regarding how you communicate with the public, the penalties and impact on a business when these rules are breached, and what advisors can do to protect themselves and their client information.

A ROAD MAP TO SELECTING THE RIGHT E&O PROTECTION Description: Minor differences between E&O policies or coverage selections can add up to a major difference. This presentation covers the critical issue of selecting the appropriate coverage for a financial advisor. Topics covered include: protecting your livelihood; what to think about in terms of your practice when deciding on coverage products and limits; regulatory requirements; the potential gaps in relying on vicarious liability; personal corporations versus other corporate entity types; claims made versus occurrence based coverage; and the risks of a lapse in coverage.

REGULATORY RISK MANAGEMENT FOR ADVISORS Description: The regulatory environment is ever changing in our industry and advisors need to look beyond licensing regulatory requirements to ensure they are fully compliant with the law. This seminar focuses on the requirements and legal obligations advisors must adhere to under PIPEDA, CRM-2, and Anti-Spam Legislation. All of these legal requirements for operating a business in Canada directly affect and impact how advisors practice and communicate with current and potential clients. Advisors who are offside of these requirements can often face stiff penalties. Legal requirements, how to comply with them and use them to your advantage are all covered in this seminar.

2019 Christmas Luncheon

This is a great client or staff appreciation event.  More and more advisors are using this event to book a table and take their clients and or staff out for a Christmas luncheon.

We are pleased to announce our 7th annual Christmas Luncheon.

Our designated charity for 2019

ADOPT-A-TEEN

 Since 1999, Adopt-A-Teen (adoptateenedmonton.ca)

has been providing Christmas gifts to less fortunate teenagers.

Today, Adopt-A-Teen spreads Christmas cheer to over 8,600

teens aged 13-17.  With continued support, they hope to raise $430,000

to ensure that everyone can share in the spirit of giving this holiday season.

Net proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to the Adopt-A-Teen program, as well as 100% of raffle ticket sales/silent auction and the donations from the generous guests in attendance.
