How long do I have to complete the Financial Planning Fundamentals Program?

You have two years from the date of your program enrollment to complete all three financial planning courses.

Can I complete the Financial Planning Fundamentals courses in any order?

No. The courses must be completed in the prescribed order, starting with Course 1: Foundations of Financial Planning. Once each course is successfully completed, access to the next course will be granted.

What happens if I am unable to successfully complete all Financial Planning Fundamentals courses within the enrollment period?

If you are unable to successfully complete all courses within your enrollment period, you may purchase a program extension.

Can I purchase additional exam attempts?

Your program enrollment includes three exam attempts for each course.

If you do not achieve a passing grade after using all three attempts, you may purchase an additional exam attempt.

What is the process for migrating to the new Financial Planning Fundamentals Program?

To help you transition smoothly, we’ve created a custom registration process. Please review the Migration Pathways to understand your next step. To move into the next course in the new Financial Planning Fundamentals Program, you must complete the collection of modules for each course equivalency.

Example:

If you have completed:

  • Financial Analysis (FP 912)
  • Credit & Debt (FP 913)
  • Taxation (FP 919)

You’ll need to finish Financial Planning Profession & Financial Services Industry Regulation (FP 911). Once completed, you’ll move into the new program and complete:

  • Investment Planning & Economics (FP 252) and
  • Retirement Planning & Government Benefits (FP 253)
