Qualified Financial Consultant (QFC™) FAQ

To earn the QFC designation, you must have successfully completed the Advocis Financial Planning Fundamentals Program (FP 911 to FP 922), the Ethics & Professional Standards (FP 893) module, and the QFC Certification Exam (932).

Once you have completed all requirements, you will be asked to complete the following forms:

  1. QFC Experience Requirement Application
  2. QFC Candidate Agreement Form

 

These forms will be emailed to you once you have successfully completed the QFC Certification Exam.

There are no pre-requisites for enrolling in the QFC program. However, all modules are to be completed in the prescribed order. We recommend that applicants have 1 year of relevant work experience before enrolling. 

Yes. Once you have successfully completed the QFC™  designation program, you will receive notification from The Institute for Advanced Financial Education (“The Institute”). At that time you will be invited to apply for the designation. Upon receipt of your designation agreement and payment of designation dues, your QFC certificate will be ordered. Delivery of the certificate may take four to six weeks.
