July 25, 2023 – Advocis, The Financial Advisors Association of Canada, is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Lidemark, CFP, CLU, CH.F.C., CHS, as Chair of the Board of Directors.

Eric is an independent producer and principal of Lidemark Financial Group Inc. in Surrey, British Columbia. A Member of Advocis for 46 years, Eric has served in a variety of roles for the Association including a term as President of the Advocis Greater Vancouver Chapter, Chair of the Advocis Chapter Leadership Council, and Board Member for The Institute for Advanced Financial Education, a subsidiary of Advocis. Eric has served on the TFAAC Board of Directors since 2017.

“I am honoured to assume the role of Chair of the TFAAC Board of Directors at a time of invigorating change for the financial services industry,” said Lidemark. “To move our vision forward, we’ve implemented a five year plan, with a purpose statement titled ‘Growing Great Advisors’. Through implementing many of the recommendations of key stakeholders and Advocis Members, we’re very optimistic about the year ahead as we continue to expand our internal programs, explore opportunities to grow our membership, and ensure that all our member-clients have the proper tools and resources needed to navigate their professional journey with Advocis.”
