- About Us
As a member of Advocis, you are automatically connected with your nearest geographical chapter community. However, Advocis members may connect in with any chapter activities across Canada.
Connect with influential and successful advisors in your area and across Canada through our chapter organizations. Your local chapter provides the opportunity for course study groups, professional development support, community volunteering and local networking. Advocis also runs cross-country events and members-only CE events.
Build credibility through continued professional development opportunities. Advocis offers recognized designation programs and courses for the CLU®, CHS and CFP® as well as the new PFA™ designation. There are also discounted continuing education (CE) opportunities available across the country and online.
Ensure your voice is heard within the financial services industry through our provincial and federal advocacy work. Keep informed of legislative changes that could affect you and your clients, through initiatives like the Political Pulse newsletters, Regulatory Affairs Symposium and your free subscription to FORUM magazine.
Advocis fosters a culture of ethics and professionalism that elevates your business to the next level. As a member of the largest voluntary professional association of financial advisors in Canada you are expected to adhere to a Code of Professional Conduct. As of January 1, 2019 new members are also required to meet minimum designation standards.
