Qualified Associate Financial Planner™ (QAFP®) FAQ

QAFP is a designation governed and overseen by FP Canada™.

The requirements to earn the QAFP designation are:

• Completion of FP Canada-approved program such as Advocis Core Curriculum Program for CFP® and QAFP Certification;

• Satisfaction of QAFP Certification requirements with FP Canada;

• Successful completion of QAFP examination;

The Advocis program, which was developed in conjunction with leading educational training consultants, derives its material from the QAFP syllabus as outlined by the FP Canada.

No, there are currently no pre-requisites. Anyone can enrol in the Advocis Core Curriculum Program.

You have four years to complete the Advocis Core Curriculum from the time you first register in the program.

In order to write your QAFP exam, you must email your transcript for the core curriculum program to FP Canada.

The QAFP Exam Review Tool is now available for candidates to access additional practice questions. This tool is designed to follow the content structure of the actual QAFP examination with independent and case-set multiple-choice questions.
